Mella Martino + The Life Exit Interview

Sharing the Partnering book with my 99-year-old grandmother turned out to be a heartwarming experience that I will forever cherish.

As we delved into the stories of various partnerships, both well-known and everyday, we found ourselves immersed in discussions about the invaluable wisdom presented by Jean.

During those final visits with her, I decided to wear my ‘teacher hat’ and introduced a new activity that added a unique touch to our time together – the ‘Life Exit Interview.’

It was a beautiful opportunity for me to ask and record her answers, capturing the essence of her life in audio form before she departed.

We covered a range of topics, from the enchanting story of how she met my late grandfather and hearing some of their Magnetic Moments to the greatest challenges she faced throughout her journey.

Inspired by Tim Ferris’ Tools of Titans, I even asked her what she would write on a billboard. Her response? A simple yet profound message:

Reflecting on those recorded moments, I can’t help but feel a sense of fulfillment and joy. The Plus Wonder Movement played a significant role in facilitating this authentic and meaningful goodbye to my beloved grandmother.

Imagine if we all took the time to capture and preserve these precious moments with our loved ones before they bid us farewell. Personally, having the audio recording for posterity brings me immense comfort.
