We’re Hiring: Part-Time Communications

We are seeking a Communications & Movement Strategist to architect and lead a transformative communications strategy for Plus Wonder.

This is not a traditional PR role; we are looking for a “bridge-builder” who understands how to turn a mission into a movement.

Applications close March 12th, 2026!

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a purpose-driven professional with a strong belief that partnership is key to impact. You will be responsible for not only crafting the narrative but also leveraging key partnerships to maximize our collective capacity and create a ripple effect of positive change.

The Basics

Location: Remote
Type: Part-Time Contract (Project-Based or Retainer)
Weekly Expectation: up to 24 hours
Duration: 12-month contract
Start Date: ASAP

Plus Wonder’s mission is to help people forge the Deep Connections that make great things happen, one relationship at a time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development & Implementation
Architect the Roadmap: Adapt our comprehensive, multi-channel communications strategy toward achieving our goal of building a movement around our paradigm.
Hands-on Management: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of the strategy, ensuring all messaging is consistent, impactful, and timely.
Movement Building: Develop and execute campaigns specifically designed to spark a movement, shifting mindset or behavior rather than just “raising awareness.”

2. Partnership & Community Organizing
Capacity Building: Identify opportunities to leverage Plus Wonder’s unique resources and network with potential strategic alliances to amplify our impact.
Strategic Alliances: Serve as a committed point of contact to forge, manage, and deepen Plus Wonder’s partnerships with value-aligned organizations that expand our reach, engagement, and impact.
Relationship Management: Use community organizing principles to engage stakeholders, influencers, and grassroots supporters to build a coalition of advocates.

3. Narrative & Content Leadership
Storytelling: Translate lofty, aspirational goals into compelling, accessible narratives that resonate with our target audiences.
Impact Reporting: Define what success looks like and develop systems to track, measure, and communicate the movement’s progress to internal and external partners.

Who You Are

  • Mission-Obsessed: You are deeply motivated by purpose. You don’t just want a “job”; you want to solve a problem and leave a legacy.
  • Experienced Leader: You bring 10+ years of experience in communications, advocacy, or social impact. You have a proven track record of managing high-level strategies from concept to completion.
  • An Organizer at Heart: You understand that real change happens through people. You have experience in community organizing, coalition building, or partnership development.
  • Movement-Minded: You have successfully launched or scaled campaigns that went “beyond the screen” to create real-world action and mobilization.
  • Strategic & Resourceful: You know how to maximize impact with a lean, part-time schedule by focusing on high-leverage activities and strong partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working within partnership-heavy environments.
  • A portfolio of “movement” campaigns (e.g., social justice, environmental action, or community-led initiatives).
  • Exceptional writing, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter (or video intro) to info@pluswonder.org, detailing a specific movement or campaign you helped build and why you feel a personal connection to the paradigm: partnership is the key to impact.

We would love for you to join us in building relationships that matter.
